SRKR Engineering College Principal K.V. Muralikrishnamraju said that youth can undertake many self-employment schemes with natural resources. He participated and spoke at an awareness program conducted on Tuesday at the Jakkaram Panchayat office. The event was organized with the support of the central government's Department of Science and Technology (DST) and held under the aegis of the college's Science and Technology Innovation Hub. Hub Principal G. Harishkumar Varma, speaking on the occasion, said that resources like water hyacinth, which is available in rural ponds and crop canals, have many natural medicinal properties. He stated that the college provides technical training on using these resources to make fish feed and poultry feed, as well as on extracting oil from fish and conducting water testing in aqua ponds. Bhimavaram SRKR Engineering College Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnamraju urged the SC, BC, and weaker sections from rural areas to utilize the technical assistance provided by colleges for their development. Kalla MPDO G. Harish Kumar Varma said that with the support of the central government's DST, training will be provided that is useful to the aqua sector. He said training on topics like water quality testing, locally preparing eco-friendly aqua feed, and extracting oil from fish will be provided in specially established laboratories at SRKR Engineering College.
