SRKR Engineering College felicitated alumna Ms. Suma M, IPS officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police, during her visit to the campus with her husband Mr. B Anil Kumar, General Manager at Samsung R&D and also an SRKR alumnus.
She credited the college for her success and inspired students to aim high. The event was led by Director Dr. M Jagapathi Raju, Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnamraju, and ECE HOD Dr. N Uday Kumar.
SRKR Engineering College recently organized a Summer Sports Camp to encourage children to engage in physical activity from a young age. The camp, held at the Indoor Stadium of SRKR, was inaugurated by Physical Education Director Mr. Sai Kumar. The initiative focused on training children in badminton and chess, aiming to boost their physical and mental well-being.
As part of the event, certificates were distributed to all participating kids, with college Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnamraju, and Vice Principal Mr. S.V. Rangaraju appreciating the efforts of the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of students. Faculty from the Physical Education Department played a key role in training and guiding the young participants. The college emphasized that such programs help instill discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of sportsmanship from an early age.
To provide refreshing relief to students during the hot summer months, SRKR Engineering College inaugurated a Buttermilk Distribution Centre (మజ్జిగ చలివేంద్ర) on campus. The initiative, part of the NSS (National Service Scheme) activities, was formally launched by Vice Principal Prof. S.V. Rangaraju, with several faculty members and students in attendance. The project aims to serve students during summer events and examinations, offering them hydration and care. College Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnamraju, Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, and NSS Coordinator M. Appireddy appreciated the efforts and emphasized the importance of student well-being and community service through such thoughtful initiatives.
The SRKR Engineering College's IETE student wing recently organized a hardware exhibition titled 'CRUX-2K25' under the aegis of the ECE department. The event featured around 50 projects presented by approximately 200 students, showcasing innovative technologies such as solar systems, robots, and soil testing equipment. The exhibition was attended by students from neighboring schools and villages, providing them with valuable exposure to cutting-edge technology. The event was inaugurated by Director Dr. M Jagapati Raju and Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, who encouraged students to undertake research projects that could benefit society and enhance their personal growth. The exhibition has been a recurring event for the past few years, helping students secure good employment opportunities.
SRKR Engineering College proudly celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of its faculty members who recently earned their doctoral degrees in diverse fields. Dr. Madhav Rao, Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, received his PhD from Andhra University for his research on “Experimental Investigation on Mechanical and Machinability Behavior of Aluminum Hybrid Metal Matrix Composite,” under the guidance of Dr. VVS Kesavarao. The felicitation ceremony, graced by Vice President S.V. Rangaraju and Principal Dr. KV Murali Krishnaraju, acknowledged Dr. Rao’s contribution to enhancing machine efficiency and mechanical research.
In another proud moment, Assistant Professor Avantha Venkata Soma Sundar was honored for receiving his PhD from KL Deemed University for his work on “Algorithm Development for Robotic Path Planning and Motion in Automatic Welding,” supervised by Dr. G. Edukondalu.
The event also recognized Dr. Swati Samanthapudi from the ECE Department, who earned her PhD from Nirwan University, Punjab, for her thesis on “Design and Implementation of Efficient and Logic Unit using FinFET Technology.” She expressed heartfelt thanks to her guides Prof. Nirmal Sharma and Dr. Neeraja. These achievements highlight SRKR's unwavering dedication to academic excellence and faculty advancement.
