Hackathon "Dev Challenge" at SRKR Engineering College on January 31st and February 1st

SRKR Engineering College is set to host an exciting Hackathon, "Dev Challenge," organized under the auspices of Google Developer Groups, on January 31st and February 1st. This event aims to bring together students to design innovative solutions to real-world problems using modern technologies. The announcement was made by College Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnam Raju, who emphasized the importance of such programs in fostering technological perspectives and encouraging creative thinking among students. On this occasion, College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju released the event poster and spoke about the significance of hackathons in nurturing innovative ideas. He encouraged students to participate and prove their talent by submitting projects for the national-level Solution Challenge organized by Google. As part of the event, prizes worth ₹10,000 will be awarded, further motivating students to showcase their skills. Additionally, the winners of the Solution Challenge will stand a chance to win prizes worth ₹8,00,000. This event offers a great opportunity for students to not only enhance their technical skills but also to gain national recognition. Faculty Coordinators Dr. N. Gopalakrishnamurthy, ABCT e Idea Lab Coordinator, CSD Department Incharge Dr. Suresh Mudunuri, and Google Developer Groups Lead Gudapati Yakshini Ananya, along with the organizing team, are dedicated to making this hackathon a rewarding experience for all participants. National Girl Child Day Celebration at SRKR Engineering College

In celebration of National Girl Child Day, the Women Empowerment Cell of SRKR Engineering College, in collaboration with the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, organized a special event to raise awareness about the importance of protecting and educating girls. The event featured Dr. Aishwarya Bhupathiraju, a prominent doctor, as the key speaker. Dr. Aishwarya emphasized that while the protection of girls is crucial, their education should be given the highest priority. She stressed that empowering women through education is essential for the betterment of society. Expressing concern over recent incidents of attacks on women, she urged everyone to work together to prevent such crimes and ensure the safety of women in all spheres of life. The Principal of the college, Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnam Raju, addressed the gathering, highlighting the significant achievements of women across various fields. He pointed out that women are excelling in all areas, often surpassing their male counterparts. The event was attended by students from Vigyan Bharti School, female faculty members of the college, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Dr. BRK Verma, and other distinguished guests. Coding Competition at SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram

The SRKR Engineering College Coding Club is organizing a coding competition on February 4th, designed to engage students across various levels of expertise. The event, announced by Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnam Raju, aims to foster coding skills and creativity among students, providing them with a platform to compete and enhance their technical capabilities. The event poster was officially released by the Director of the College, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju. During the launch, Dr. Jagapathi Raju shared details about the competition, which is organized into three categories: basic level for first-year students, intermediate level for second-year students, and expert level for third-year students. Notably, the competition is not open to final-year students, as it focuses on building a strong coding foundation for those in earlier years. Dr. Jagapathi Raju also highlighted the significance of coding, emphasizing that despite technological advancements, students who master coding skills will succeed in all fields. He encouraged students to take full advantage of this opportunity to improve their coding abilities. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Coding Club Convener K. David Raju, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. BHVS Ramakrishnan Raju, and Placement Cell Dean Dr. R. Satyanarayana, among others. National Go-Kart Championship at SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram

The SRKR Go-Kart Championship, a prestigious national-level event, is currently taking place at SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram, from Thursday. The four-day competition serves as an exciting platform for students to showcase their skills and innovative ideas in the automobile sector. The event aims to encourage creativity and collaboration, particularly among mechanical engineering students, to explore new advancements in the field. On the inauguration day, the Director of the college, M. Jagapathiraju, lit the flame to mark the beginning of the event. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of core engineering branches—such as mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering—in driving global progress. He highlighted the shift in education systems, where practical experience plays a vital role alongside theoretical knowledge, urging students to achieve breakthroughs in new technologies. The event also saw the participation of College Vice President Sagi Vithal Rangaraju, Principal KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Head of Mechanical Engineering K. Suresh Babu, and VV Muralikrishnam Raju, the Coordinator of the Go-Kart Championship competitions. Since the establishment of the automotive club at SRKR Engineering College in 2015, students have consistently excelled in Go-Kart competitions held across the country, contributing to the college’s legacy of success and innovation in the automobile sector. Success in Civil Services through Continuous Study: A Lecture at SRKR Engineering College

Bhimavaram Rural, January 8: District Joint Collector T. Rahul Kumar Reddy addressed students at SRKR Engineering College on the topic of "Civil Services Preparation Strategy and Guide." In his session, he emphasized that success in civil services exams comes through continuous study and a deep understanding of socio-economic conditions. He also encouraged students to stay updated on current affairs, particularly by regularly reading newspapers, as they are vital for civil services preparation. The session was organized under the Women Empowerment Cell (WORC ICC), with Dr. P. Bhuvaneshwari, Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Cell, presiding over the event. The college management, including College Secretary and Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Varma and Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, also attended and spoke during the event, supporting the efforts to motivate students towards civil services. The lecture was a great opportunity for students to gain valuable insights into the preparation strategy for civil services exams, and it reflected the college’s commitment to fostering academic and career success.
