Bhimavaram, November 11: Nishant Verma, Secretary and Correspondent of SRKR Engineering College, inaugurated the newly sanctioned Engineering Physics Research Center from JNTUK at SRKR Engineering College on Monday. This milestone marks a significant step in enhancing research capabilities in the field of engineering physics.
During the inauguration, Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Principal of SRKR Engineering College, shared that a team of experts from JNTUK recently visited the college, inspecting the engineering physics department and its laboratories, leading to the sanctioning of the research center.
Dr. MV Someswara Rao, Head of the Engineering Physics Department, highlighted that the college management had invested significantly in setting up the research center, ensuring that all necessary facilities and infrastructure were in place to support the researchers. He also mentioned that JNTUK had already allocated some researchers to the new center.
Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, College Director, emphasized that SRKR Engineering College places high importance on research across various disciplines. Apart from the engineering departments, the college has established research centers in Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Mathematics, and Engineering Physics. Many faculty members have already benefited from these centers and achieved their PhDs. He encouraged young faculty members to prioritize research in their academic careers.
The event was also attended by Dr. P Bhavani, Head of Engineering Chemistry, Dr. Venkatapathy Raju, Head of Mathematics and Humanities, along with senior professors and faculty members.

Bhimavaram, November 8: Emphasizing the importance of mastering communication skills for a successful future, Nishant Verma, Correspondent of SRKR Engineering College, addressed the students during the SRK Orator Championship Competitions held on Friday at the college. As the chief guest of the event, Nishant Verma highlighted that engineering students must master the English language and communication skills to secure a promising future. He also noted that SRKR Engineering College provides training in soft skills from the first year, across various departments, to ensure students are well-equipped with the essential language skills.
During the event, the winners of the orator competition were announced, with P Kumar Verma, a third-year student from the Prize AIDS department, winning the first prize, which was accompanied by a cash prize of Rs. 5000. CH Lalitha, a second-year IT student, was awarded the second prize with a cash prize of Rs. 3000. The third prize was won by G Kavya, a third-year CSC student, along with a cash prize of Rs. 2000.
The event was presided over by Dr. BHVN Lakshmi, Head of the English and Foreign Languages Department, and was conducted under the auspices of SRKR Toastmasters and Language Nest. The program was also supported by Dr. BHVS Ramakrishnam Raju, In-charge Principal, and various faculty members from the English and Foreign Languages Department.
The Toastmasters Club SRK Orator Championship aimed to enhance the speaking and communication skills of students, which are crucial for their personal and professional development.
Bhimavaram, October 29: The shortage of blockchain technology experts in India was highlighted by Sunil Subrahmanyam, Head of Strategy Partnerships at leading IDS (Information Data Systems) Edavalli, during the inauguration of the Center of Excellence Bharat Blockchain Network at SRKR Engineering College. The event, held on Tuesday, was conducted under the auspices of the Computer Science Engineering Department, with Senior Professor and College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju also in attendance.
In his address, Sunil Subrahmanyam emphasized the importance of blockchain technology in various sectors such as healthcare, banking, and corporate finance. He highlighted the technology’s ability to provide clarity, transparency, and secure record-keeping. The college participated in a virtual event for the distribution of certificates as part of the inaugural program.
The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries including the Secretary and Correspondent of SRKR Engineering College, Mr. Nishant Verma, the CEO of the Automotive Skill Development Council, Mr. Arindam Lahiri, Professor Dr. Eng. from Germany, and Mr. Bertram Lohmüller, Senior Vice President of IES. Bhimavaram, October 10 : We are proud to announce that Dr. Samurthi Sasikala, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at SRKR Engineering College, has been awarded a doctorate by Andhra University. This recognition was shared by College Principal Dr. KV Murali Krishnam Raju during a special event held to honor Dr. Sasikala.
College Secretary and Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Verma presented Dr. Sasikala with accolades on behalf of the management. In her presentation, Dr. Sasikala discussed her research titled "Investigation of Strength and Elastic Properties of Hypo Sludge and Copper Coated Micro Steel Fiber Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete with Different Cements," conducted under the supervision of Dr. N. Adiseshu from the Department of Civil Engineering at Andhra University.
