The B.Tech. program in Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) was established in 2023 at SRKREC with an initial intake of 60 students, and due to growing demand, the intake has now been increased to 120. This program is designed to meet the evolving demands of the IT industry and prepare students for a rewarding and dynamic career.

The curriculum is crafted to align with emerging technologies in the IT sector, integrating theoretical foundations with practical hands-on learning. The department emphasizes experiential learning through lab work and project-based activities, encouraging students to become independent learners and creative problem solvers.

Beyond traditional technical education, the program offers a vibrant learning environment enriched by co-curricular activities including conferences, seminars, workshops, hackathons, and quizzes—equipping students to thrive in a highly competitive job market.

The CSIT program operates under the aegis of the Technology Centre, SRKREC, established in 2015. The Centre features cutting-edge infrastructure and facilities, including the AICTE IDEA Lab, Innovation Centre, On-Campus Start-ups, and Technology Training Hubs. It boasts over 400 high-performance computers, server infrastructure, high-speed internet, and round-the-clock availability.

CSIT students will have full access to all the resources of the Technology Centre and its associated start-ups, providing them with invaluable exposure and hands-on experience. Alumni trained at the Centre have secured placements in leading multinational companies such as Amazon, Yahoo, Infosys, and TCS, with competitive salary packages.
