1. To maintain homely atmosphere for girl students in the campus.
2. To keep grievances-free environment by adequate counselling.
3. To deal with the cases or complaints of any sort of harassment towards the girl students,
teaching and non-teaching women staff of the college.
4. To provide help and support to the victimized and recommend early action to the concerned.
5. To keep the details of the handled cases confidential and maintain the dignity of victim and
the witnesses so that they are not discriminated because of their complaints.
6. To provide moral support for girl students in times of their need.
1. To deal with the cases/ grievances of gender discrimination, abuse or any other type of
harassment of the students of the college.
2. To process the individual grievances to the authorities concerned and take suitable action
as per the college norms.
3. To allow the students to put up their grievances in writing to the respective committees.
4. To act upon the cases which have been submitted along with the necessary documents.
5. To provide support and assistance to the students in taking preventive steps relating to gender discrimination.
6. To form/ review the guidelines/policy for redressal of the grievances as required from time to time, which may be
in accordance with the college policy and government agencies.
7. To assure that the grievance has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit as per the norms of WGRC.
WGRC will meet periodically and whenever required.
Generally, when a complaint is lodged, it will first be scrutinized and thereon action will be taken as per the policy.
The minute complaints/ grievances will be solved through counseling within a couple of days.
If the compliant is severe, the victim will have to submit a written complaint.
The victim and culprit will be separately called for a personal meeting.
If the grievance/complaint comes into the purview of WGRC, the members of the committee will discuss it and an enquiry, if necessary,
will be made through proper channel. , and the necessary action will be taken.
If the grievance/complaint is outside the purview of WGRC, the grievance will be informed to the higher authorities concerned.
Usually, most of the problems will be solved through counselling only.
